Ultra-light duralumin material (A2014) is used for the material. Durability is greatly improved compared to conventional products (strength: 50%, hardness: 30% improvement (compared to conventional products)). In addition, the weight has been further reduced by reviewing the shape in accordance with the material change (weight is reduced by about 10% for RB) to reduce the burden on the valve train and improve the response.
Increased wear resistance by nickel plating
Nickel plating is used for the gear part. Improves surface hardness (Hv hardness: 350 → 500 (compared to conventional products)), and is effective for wear resistance under harsh conditions such as the use of reinforced timing belts and sand biting.
