Strut bars are an easy-to-use and highly effective body rigidity part. The area around the strut tower that secures the upper part of the suspension is susceptible to input from the road surface, and the front where steering is performed in particular has a large impact on handling. The reason why cost-conscious automakers sometimes use strut bars as standard equipment is to improve handling performance. The strut bar, which is a part that can achieve such a large effect, is a "tension rod" that firmly suppresses deformation of the left and right strut towers. As another frame, it suppresses distortion of the body, significantly improves steering response, and creates sharp handling. It also makes a great impact as a dress-up part for the engine room, as it is the first thing you see when you open the hood!

Strut bar not installed

When a car is subjected to lateral G forces during cornering, the force from the tires through the suspension pushes up the strut towers, causing the body to distort slightly. This causes subtle changes in the front-to-rear and left-to-right alignment, resulting in an unprecise handling and ride.

After installing the strut bar

The strut tower bar connects the left and right strut towers and reduces distortion of the body. It increases the rigidity of the engine room and luggage space, which are prone to distortion due to their large openings, and has the effect of suppressing distortion of the entire body.
