HOW TO INSTALL HI OCTANE RACING TRIGGER KITS FOR RB (CAM/CRANK/BOTH)

 

 

CAM TRIGGER KIT Includes:

1 x Cam Sensor Mount Plate
1 x Cam Sensor Mount Cap (Optional)
3 x M6x30 Cap Head Bolt
1 x Hall Effect Sensor
1 x Cam Trigger
4 x M7x25 Hex Head Bolt
3 x Flat Washer
3 x Spring Washer

CRANK TRIGGER KIT Includes:

1 x Crank Sensor Mount
1 x Crank Gear
3 x M4x10 Countersunk Bolt
1 x Trigger Wheel
1 x Hall Effect Sensor
2 x M6x55 Countersunk Bolt

 

CAM TRIGGER INSTALLATION

1. Fit the trigger wheel to crank sprocket using the supplied bolts, blue lock tight must be used. The rear guide washer must be retained however the front guide washer is no longer required. The taller of the two triggers must be lined up with the top dead centre timing mark on the exhaust side as per below.

 

 

2. Bolt cam sensor plate in and tighten down, line up long trigger on wheel with hole on cap and wind sensor in until trigger touches wheel and unscrew one and a half turns - giving roughly a 1mm gap. 

3. If you have an optional cam trigger cap in your kit, install on top of cam sensor plate.

 

CRANK TRIGGER INSTALLATION

1. Fit the trigger wheel to crank sprocket using the supplied bolts, blue lock tight must be used. The rear guide washer must be retained, however the front guide washer is no longer required.

2. Modify the lower timing cover and oil pump as per pictures below to housing to allow fitment of the lower sensor mount.

 

 

3. Fit lower sensor mount using bolts & spacers supplied, blue lock tight must be used.

 

 

4. Set sensor clearance to 1mm then nip the grub screw using blue lock tight. Do NOT overtighten grub screw as this will cause damage to the sensor.
